I figured out what my problem is. I was using a 3.5mm/lightning adapter that was made by a third party. When I used an original Apple adapter, everything was fine. So, check if your accessories are Apple made.

Which headphones are you using? Which specific software version is on your iPhone?

What exactly is not working with a phone call?

Are you able to replicate this issue? If so, which specific steps to you take to do so?

The more detail you can provide, the better the chances of receiving a reply.

If your headphones don't work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers.

I have the iPhone SE 2022 with iOS 15.4. When I plug in my Apple wired earphones, I can hear the audio through the earphones when playing music and videos. I even hear the tapping/clicking when I type on my phone keyboard. BUT, phone call audio comes out of the phone instead of throughly my earphones. I Googled, it appears others over the years have had this problem. But all I see are a list of complaints, no solutions posted. I chatted online with Apple support, the person didn’t have a clue. Suggested a visit the “Genius Bar” at an Apple store.
