Mac book displays unrecoverable error

My Mac book suddenly displays unrecoverable error… security agent was unable to create requested mechanism built in:unlock- keychain.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

The error froze the system, I was unable to function . And it subsequently the system went blank for over 1hr. I was trying all sorts and had to hold the power button down for 20 seconds and it restarted. This really rattled me. So what is the root cause of the issue?

You can always force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.

Force Shut down your Mac.


reboot as normal and see where this leaves you.
