battery for Ipad 1st generation

My battery on my ipad which is a first generation seems not to last as much as it use to. Everything else works great but just the battery is what I am having an issue with. Any suggestions on how to fix this. I really would hate to have to upgrade at this time due to the fact that the other generations are not as long as the 1st generation and I really like it.

Thanks

Laura

Be aware that removal of the existing battery during the replacement process will result in loss of all stored data and installed Apps. While you should be able to restore your data from your iCloud or iTunes backup, you’ll not be able to reinstall any purchased Apps from the Apple App Store.

The majority, if not all, 32-bit Apps that are compatible with the older 32-bit models of iPad have been withdrawn from the App Store. Once removed from the App,Store, you’ll not be able to reinstall these Apps on your iPad1. As such, you may have no alternative other than to consider replacement of your original first generation iPad with a much newer model.

The current entry-level iPad, the iPad9, is considerably more powerful than your iPad1. Being a 64-bit device, capable of running running iPadOS 15.x, you’ll be able to install the vast majority of currently available Apps.
