Sound but No video from F1 tv on macOS with Safari

I've always used my mac for watching F1 TV without an issue. This year I get sound but no video. It works fine on my iPad, and AppleTV with the F1 app, but not Safari.

I'm on Safari v 15.4 and Monterey 12.3.

I've called F1, but they were no help. They say it should work. Any ideas?

Works fine on iPad and AppleTV with the F1 app.

Cheers!

Ed

Hello Ed,

Check out the following suggestions for resolving Safari website issues: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected. As it shows there, you'll want to try the following steps:

    1. Reload the page
    2. Install software updates
    3. Turn off Safari extensions
    4. Test with a private window
    5. Check network settings

If you have followed these steps and still have an issue, you may be led to reinstalling the macOS software. You will definitely want to save those steps as the last resort.

Take care!

Hi Karina,

I setup an new user and got the same results on the F1 channel. I didn't try Peacock.

More information though. I'm back on my primary user account and I tried to watch the qualifying again. All F1 replays work as they should. It appears only the live stream is not working. To watch the live stream I have been using Firefox v 98.0.1 Peacock also works on Firefox.

The Peacock and F1 apps work fine on my iPad, iPhone, and AppleTV.

Cheers!

Ed
