when setting up my new iPad for my son, I selected do not transfer apps and data, but when I check the apps available they are all there. What am I doing wrong?

I would like to set up my new iPad for my son

, without my apps and data, when I select that option, I still see all of my apps and data. To remove them, I am warned that it will remove them from all of my apple products. What am I doing wrong.

Where exactly try do you see them?

How are you removing them?

Your post is a bit confusing.

Did you sign in with your Apple ID on the iPad? If so, then yes, all your apps would be available for download form your purchased history. But are not actually on the iPad.

You can create an Apple ID for your son entirely so those are not there.
