Group FaceTime not working

Group FaceTime calls not working.

>I have re-installed the app.

>I have turned FaceTime off and on.

>I have updated my device to the latest IOS

> I have signed out of my FaceTime and back in again

> I have hard powered off my phone

> I have tried on my mobile data and home wifi

none to my success. I am unable to add multiple people for a Group FaceTime.

when a extra person is added the FaceTime call button goes from green to grayed out. (Please find screenshot attached) If I FaceTime someone and they add someone else then a group call is created for me however I am unable to see their faces.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 15

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

Group FaceTime used to work on my iPhone 8+ with the same users. All users can see each other in Group FaceTime calls however they can’t see me. I’m definitely the issue…

Even trying with other Friends the issue still is there. My other friends all have the latest iPhone so it could not be them.

Jayj420,

Based on the behavior you described, only hearing audio instead of receiving video, one or more of the recipients may not meet requirements. It will be necessary for all participants to meet the requirements above. If the behavior persists after you've ensured all contacts meet the minimum requirements, we recommend reviewing support options in your region.

You can do so here: Get Support

Regards.

Hello Jayj420,

Keep in mind in to make a Group FaceTime call, all devices must meet certain requirements:

To use Group FaceTime video calls, you need iOS 12.1.4 or later, or iPadOS. on one of these devices: iPhone 6s or later, iPad Pro or later, iPad Air 2 or later, iPad mini 4 or later, iPad (5th generation) or later, or iPod touch (7th generation). Earlier models of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that support iOS 12.1.4 can join Group FaceTime calls as audio participants.

You can see all of these requirements, and more here: Use Group FaceTime on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Hope this helps.

Best Regards.
