My M1 MacBook Air 2020 thunderbolt pot stopped working

My thunderbolt pot stopped working. ( only one of them ) is their anything I can do before I contact apple support? ( M1 MacBook Air 2020 )

Troubleshooting M1 Thunderbolt Ports:


A. Single-Out this User:

Create a new administrator user, seeing if it then works. If so, then it is a misconfiguration in your current user. If not, then it is an issue with you device.


B. Uninstall Security Software:

Security Software may be getting in the way here. So, uninstall it, using the uninstaller. Contact the developer, requesting which uninstaller to user.


C. Boot in Safe Mode:

In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another update install. For instructions, go here: How to Use Safe Mode on your Mac - Apple Support
