Apple Watch Resets Overnight & Have to Restore

The past couple nights, my iWatch has reset itself (factory reset) when I’ve had it on a charger. I woke up this morning sigh the language being in Japanese and yesterday it was trying to show the charging icon but it was zoomed in 1000% and I couldn’t see the full charging icon or zoom out. Both times, I hard rebooted the watch and it kicked into the initial setup routine. It’s annoying because I have to restore from my previous backup and go through the whole setup process and it takes time to do so.

I don’t initiate the reset…it just does. How do I resolve this issue?

Hey sychophant,

It's rather unclear what could have occurred to cause the reset, but since you've already restored the device with issues persisting, it'd likely be best to have it evaluated further by a technician at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area. We hope this information helps out.

Take care!
