Photo syncing

I reduced the size of my iCloud update, but new photos are not updated onto the cloud, nor synced to my iPad from my phone. How do I get this to work again?

Hi stitches356,

There are a couple things you can try to get your photos syncing to iCloud.

1. From Set up and use iCloud Photos:

Make sure that you have enough storage

The photos and videos that you keep in iCloud Photos use your iCloud storage and your device storage. And as long as you have enough space in iCloud and on your device, you can store as many photos and videos as you like. Learn more about iCloud storage and device storage. If you need more iCloud storage, continue the steps under "If you need more iCloud storage" in the same article.

2. Check the status of the uploads and downloads. If it is paused you will see a message here. From your related article: Get help with iCloud Photos

How do I check the status of my uploads or downloads to iCloud Photos?
1. Open the Photos app.2. Select the Library tab, then tap All Photos.3. Scroll to the bottom to see the status bar.

You can also find photos and videos from your Photos Library that haven't been uploaded to iCloud in a smart album on your Mac.

3. Make sure Low Power Mode is turned off as it will temporarily pause iCloud Photos. Learn more here Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone or iPad.

4. If using cellular data, make sure Settings > Cellular > Photos is turned on. Learn more about this setting here Use cellular data on your iPhone or iPad.

Have a great day!
