MacBook Pro M1 Pro Webcam

Why does the webcam have an unnatural smoothing effect enabled on the webcam? Why can't I turn this off? Please stop stating there are options within the video conferencing apps to disable this; there are no options for this. You, Apple, need to give us the ability to adjust the webcam natively in the OS.

Camera issue in MacOS Monterey I have been using the Logitech c270 webcam (720p/30fps) for the last 2 years for online lectures and stuff. However post updating to MacOS Monterey (12.1 as of now) since its release, I have been facing issues with my webcam. I have started seeing distortion in the video quality over the past few months such as increase in contrast, overexposure etc while using MS Teams, FaceTime etc., which prompts me to modify the quality manually using the Logitech Camera Settings App, however this changes made don't sustain for long as this issue arises every time I reboot my laptop. Please help.

Logitech Streamcam poor quality on Monterey I have a Macbook Air (2017) with Monterey OS 12.3.1 and the Streamcam has terrible quality and is most definitely not HD. I have it plugged into the USB port via a Type-C adaptor, which will limit the 60fps option but this is not a frame rate issue. This is worse that the standard laptop webcam which is saying something!! It is the same in the following apps: Zoom Google Meet Facetime OBS Loom This is so frustrating as I have an online business whereby I run coaching and record training from a webcam!! Any ideas how to fix this?
