Lost iPhone no battery keeps changing positions in the same radius on find me

my lost iPhone (no battery) keeps updating Location on a random time and changing positions on a ~20 meter radius. Could this be a bug? I checked and its Not there

Lost iPhone sending a location after a week being off My new iPhone SE got lost last week presumably at home. It's running iOS 16. It was already at less than 20% when I lost it, with wifi being turned off from control center as far as I remember but Bluetooth being on. It wouldn't play sounds no matter how much I tried, instead always showing 'pending', but the location on Find My kept updating every few minutes the first two days. Last Thursday it suddenly stopped updating the location and I thought the battery had died. However, it sent a location update yesterday morning of the same location. It kept updating a few times throughout the day as well then stopped in the evening. Now what I would like to know is what that means. I know iPhones will send locations even if the battery is dead, but is it sending the last location or the current location? It would really help me narrow down where it is. Any tips for trying to trigger it to send an updated location again would be appreciated.

out of battery find my iphone hey lost my iphone one week ago when i connect to find my phone it says no location found. it must have run out of battery. how do i see the last location it sent?

Find my iPhone I've lost my phone. On find my iPhone the last location was 4:14am and it hasn't updated since. However, it is allowing me to play a sound on the phone so it mustn't be out of battery. Does anyone know why the location isn't updating if it still has battery?

If your phone has no battery (zero charge?) then it cannot be transmitting its position. It may be its last known position.

Are you sure the battery is discharged? Try tapping on the device and make a sound.
