Music not playing on Carplay

I have a 2022 VW Taos and Apple CarPlay was working just fine. Suddenly, no music sound was playing. Seemed like on mute, but volume was up and the music was rolling. I tried restarting my car and phone settings, but didn't work. Tried connecting with cable and bluetooth, but issue remained the same.

Tested a phone call while connected to CarPlay and it worked just fine. Only issue seems to be sounds when connected to CarPlay as Siri and Waze had no sound either.

Any thoughts??

Hi luiz54,

For audio issues with CarPlay, ensure you are using the control audio playback. From Use your vehicle’s built-in controls to control CarPlay:

Control audio playback: Use the audio playback controls on CarPlay Dashboard. Or from CarPlay Home, select Now Playing to view and control the current audio app.

Also when ensuring the volume is up on your iPhone, open the app and turn the volume up to make sure it is turned up for the app. This will help verify the audio is up as if you have Change with Buttons feature turned on, you may be turning up the the ringer and not apps.
