Ipad blurred screen

My ipad seems to have a blur screen initially, when I switch tabs, then the problem corrects itself after a few seconds. Any idea why this happens. Its now pretty consistently occurring issue. Thanks,

You make no mention of your iPad model or installed version of iOS/iPadOS. Begin with ensuring that your iPad is updated to the most recent version supported by your iPad. Here is a list of the highest version of iOS supported by the older models of iPad (for simplicity - “generations” are shortened to a number) that are restricted in their ability to be updated:

iPad1 - iOS 5.1.1

iPad2, iPad3 and iPad mini1 - iOS 9.3.5 (WiFi Only models), iOS 9.3.6 (WiFi & Cellular)

iPad4 - iOS 10.3.3 (WiFi Only), iOS 10.3.4 (WiFi & Cellular)

iPad Air1, iPad mini2 and iPad mini3 - iOS 12.5.5

Newer models, not appearing in this list, are all able to be updated to the current version, iPadOS 15.4

Next, if necessary, a forced restart of your iPad will often clear an isolated software issue:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

If the problem remains unresolved, a reset of your iPad settings may help. The reset will only restore settings to defaults - but your data will not be affected. You can change settings back to how you want them after the reset:

For iPadOS15.x

Settings > General > Reset > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings

Earlier version of iOS/iPadOS

Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
