Microsoft365 Email incompatible with Mail?

Hi,

Our University's IT dept. has sent out an email saying the iOS Mail app will not work with our email after October of 2022. The reason given, is the new version on Outlook365 will not be compatible with KeyChain. Does anyone know anything about an incompatibility? Any information is welcome.

Outlook mail stopped working with native Mail on iPhone I have been using the native Mail and Calendar apps on my iPhone for the last couple of years to read my work Outlook email. All of a sudden it stopped connecting last week and I get the message asking me to enter my password. I do and it keeps asking me over and over. The University IT says they have seen it happen with new accounts, it is an apple issue and there is nothing they can do. Mine is not a new account. I had to set up TEAMS on my phone and this problem started shortly afterwards. Help I hate the outlook app and calendar. Is there a patch on the way?

Unable to add SBCglobal email to apple products I've seen in previous threads there have been similar errors with trying to add an email account to the Mail app on an iphone. I have the latest IOS (16.0) and am trying to set up my SBCGlobal email account through the Mail app. The message/prevent that keeps popping up states: No password provided for "Sbcglobal" (which is the description being used for the email account i'm trying to set up). Please go to Mail Account Settings and enter a password. My correct password for the SBCGlobal email was entered, but it's not being recognized as such. A link with info to address this issue was provided in Feb 2022, and unfortunately I continue to receive "No password provided for sbcglobal. Please go to Mail Account Settings and enter a password". This relates to my iPhone, iPad-mini, and MacBook Air. Help, please!

UPDATE: That information was incorrect. Only older versions of Mail that do not support dual authentication will be incompatible.
