I have just bought an iMac OS Monterey. The Zoom app connected itself to the camera & mic automatically, but the Preply (language learning) app is not appearing on the lists for camera or mic (system preferences>Security&privacy>privacy). There are no + or - buttons to click to add apps to the lists, so what do I do?
Does this mean I have to use the Preply website instead of the app?

Normally, each application should request the privilege to use the camera and mic the first time it needs it.
You can't add that manually.
Did you try using the camera with preply? Did you not get a dialog to the effect that "... wants to access the camera"?
Try deleting and reinstalling the application, then start it and have it try to access the camera.
