Contacts is very slow, both when entering new contacts and when scrolling through the list of existing contacts (1295 in all).
It only happens to me on the Mac, while on the iPhone and iPad it is very fast.
Mac is otherwise very fast (MacBook Pro, 2.8Ghz i/ quad-core CPU, 16GB RAM), Mac OS Monterey 12.3)
can anyone help me ?

Have you tried force quitting the Contacts app and then launching it again? If not, follow the steps from this article: How to force an app to quit on your Mac
If the issue persists, try restarting your Mac as well. Let us know how it goes!
