M1 MacBook Pro 16 (2021)

My cursor keeps snapping down to the bottom left hand corner, and I can't seem to get it out. Shaking it brings it out briefly, and then it snaps back. It happens with the native LCD screen, and with an extended desktop using another screen. I had heard from another source to close the Macbook's lid, and then establish the cursor on the screen and often that works but not consistently. Running MacOs Monterey(12.2.1).
