I have an HP printer. It works fine from my iMac. But when I try to print from my iPad it automatically goes to black and white in the preview and gives me no option to change to colour. I used to work fine before.

We understand you're unable to print from your iPad, and while iOS 10 is an older version, we'll still do what we can to help. To clarify, which app are you trying to print from? In newer versions of iPadOS, there is a toggle in the print settings for Black & White, though this may vary depending on the printer.
If you can post a screenshot of the available settings, that might help as well.

it does it from the web and many apps
