You don't really restore it; remove the malfunctioning printer and add it back:

System Preferences > Printers > Highlight bad printer: click the "-" to remove malfunctioning printer.

System Preferences > Printers: click the "+" and follow the screen prompts to add printer.

You may need to install the printer's app before it can be found by your MBA.
