connecting iphone 11 to an old bose player with an old iPod connection

I bought an adaptor wire that had the old ipod connection one end ( 30 pin ??????) and the new iphone 11 connection the other end and used it to connect the bose station to my iphone 11. but still the music wont come out of the bose.

what more do I need to do ??

I got a couple of these APPLE iPhone Lightning Dock - Gold | Synigo

they output 3.5mini jack female I connected them to some computer speakers worked fine


apple don't sell them themselves anymore for some reason

this is the kit my old ipod slotted into. its this I am trying to connect. the connector works because when it is plugged in it charges the phone. but no sound comes out
