When I shut down my new Macbook pro, my desktop wallpaper disappeared

I have a new Macbook pro and when I shut it down all my desktop wallpaper disappeared. When I tried to put them up again, it's glitchy when loading the photos.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

glitch...how so ?

You have to get to your log in before custom wall paper is shown.
