CODA on Apple TV+

I am a subscriber to Apple TV+ sitting in a hotel in Orlando, FL, trying to watch CODA. I am getting the message that this movie isn’t available in the country or region that I am in.

CODA just won best picture a few days ago, and now it isn’t available to view in Florida??

Please tell me this isn’t an Apple backlash over the recently enacted “don’t say gay” bill. The bill is crap, and so is not being able to view an Apple Original movie on my Apple TV+ app with a paid subscription.

Is your Apple ID set to the US? Or some other country? While you are in Orlando, your account may be set to a different country and as such the movie would not be available in that country. Nothing to do with your physical location.

Otherwise CODA is working fine for me in the U.S. with a U.S account.

I have a US account which was working fine in California two days ago, just not in Florida today.

You have a good point, as I have found many streaming shows unavailable while traveling in Mexico or the Caribbean, but this time I am firmly in the US.

That is really odd indeed. Best option is to verify the Apple ID country: link-> Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

If so try signing out of the Apple ID and signing back in, then contact Apple Support directly if it is set to the US and it still won't work. Link-> Apple Support

A less “tech” solution is always best. I flew to Ohio, and CODA played just fine.

So the question remains - what is up with Florida??
