Unauthorized Apple ID code request

I recently have been receiving multiple Apple ID codes but was never trying to sign in. (There aren’t any scam links) Out if boredom, said “stop”, which it responded with “Apple ID Verification: You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages.” I can’t tell if this is legit or is a scam, can anyone help?
