iphone se 2020 screen resolution

Hi I purchased iPhone SE 2020 (MHGG3LL/A) directly from Apple and I believed the screen resolution was 750 x 1334. Today I found it's actually 640 x 1136 by looking at the screen capture.

Does anyone know why?

In case anyone wants to know how this problem was resolved, I reset the phone.

When I enlarged the screen sometime ago because of my presbyopia, the screen resolution itself was changed.

It could have been better if the tech support could just point out where I could change those settings rather than resetting the phone, but I really appreciate her since she immediately noticed the problem.

Hello, kkjeong69.

The iPhone SE Tech Specs page shows that the resolution of this iPhone should be 1334-by-750-pixel resolution at 326 ppi. As you are using a screen capture to view the resolution, that would explain why it's a bit less.

Let us know if we can help with anything else at all or if this doesn't settle your issue. Thanks and have a fabulous day!

Thank you for your reply, but it doesn't make sense to me.

"As you are using a screen capture to view the resolution, that would explain why it's a bit less." ?

Does it mean Apple is down sampling the screen captured image?

iPhone X screen resolution is 2436 x 1125 and its screen captured is as is.

Why iPhone SE 2020 down samples the image?

You're welcome, kkjeong69,

How are you viewing the screen recording? For instance, have you synced your screen recording to your computer and are editing the recording using additional software? The resolution you are viewing may be impacted by the software you are using or the method you used to sync the recording to the device you are using to view and edit the recording.

We hope this helps.

Take care!

Ok, I expected some simple reply like "oh you are unlucky that you happen to received those lower spec phone that Apple sent out during a certain period" but it seems like it's not like that.

I directly saw it on my phone "Photos". My family has several iPhones and the screen capture on those phones are all to the spec.

I contacted tech support and opened a case.

Thank you for your reply.
