Why can I not upgrade my operating system from Sierra

Trying to upgrade my Macbook Pro from OS 10.12.6 and am not seeing any options

It is a 13", Mid 2012 model

The following is the Hardware Overview

Model Name: MacBook Pro

Model Identifier: MacBookPro9,2

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

Processor Speed: 2.5 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 4 GB

Boot ROM Version: 228.0.0.0.0

SMC Version (system): 2.2f44

I need to upgrade to at least 10.14 for other software that I wish to use.

Any help with if or how this might be possible would be amazing.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12
