Stop send two-factor authorization codes to my other devices

How do I get iCloud to stop sending two-factor authorization codes to my wife's and kids' devices? Every time I log in to do the most mundane thing on a computer my entire family gets a pop-up code on their device! My iPhone Password & Security screen has my cell number but it doesn't seem to matter - every device get notified.

Two-factor authentication doesn’t send to other people, it only sends to other devices using the same Apple ID.

Which usually means somebody is sharing the same Apple ID for multiple users.

Which doesn’t work at all well, for this and for other reasons.

Best migrate to unique Apple IDs for each user, and then enable and configure Family Sharing.
