Monterey 12.3.1 external display issue

Hi same issues here since update to 12.3.1.

2x LG ULTRA WIDE monitors connected to Mac Mini. 1 of them could not get the correct resolution.

• Unplugging didn't work
• Trying all options in Display settings: no result

Solution:

1. Change INPUT SETTINGS in monitor hardware to accept the wrong maximum input Mac OS provided, resulting in 2 black sidebars.
2. Then went back to DISPLAY SETTINGS Mac OS. And tadaa: the correct resolution was shown under SCALED dropdown.
3. Select the correct resolution under scaled (ultra wide 2560x1080)
4. Once selected MAC OS gives a short flash in both screens et voila! Both screens accept the "Default for Display" resolution

Monitor worked after I unplugged all power units. MBP power and the monitor power cord. Rebooted all and was back online with my external monitor.

Also, have you checked with Samsung for any firmware updates? These can sometimes help with compatibility issues with the latest version of macOS.

I have an LG monitor and ran into the same issue. After unplugging the monitor from power and plugging it back in, it works again. Thank you!

Time on the phone with Apple Support, we ended up resetting the P-RAM which reset the ports and have me back my ability to see external monitors, external drives, and my electric plug again…

Well, I have same issue. I use Macbook Pro M1 and connect to Samsung M7 too.

Samsung M7 also not working with USB-C when I update to 12.3.1.

I'm looking for the way to resolve this issue but it not work.

I hope that Apple can help us to resolve it.

If not, I may degrade my Mac to 12.2 version.

PRAM RESET

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. ...
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. ...
5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
6. Release the keys.
