HomePod 2018 won't reconnect to network

I have the 2018 model. I reset it yesterday and have been trying to reconnect to my network (change user name and pass some tweaking of the network by the IT guys remotely by Telekom.) Now when I plug it in it switches between light and a short appearance of + and -.
