Cancel transfer file USB from iPhone to Mac? Progress bar?

I'm just forced to updated from Mojave to a new Mac Studio's Monterrey and I'm just missing tons of features no longer exist...

One of my biggest pain is transferring large video files from iPhones to the mac via USB, I can't find any progress bar and I can't find how to cancel the transfer if I need.

Airdrop looks to solve this but it's a pain, I'm trying to use it but there are unexpected error, then I can't find one iPhone, reboot, restart, unknown error.... very useful for sending kids pics but I don't see this for work. My "out of Apple ecosystem" work fellows are a bit shocking about all this situation.

(BTW, I have chosen "MacBook Pro (2020 and later) as current Mac as I couldn't find Mac Studio) in the forum options

Any help with this "magical" situation?
