How to reset a Mac when you forgot your password to your old Apple ID

So I forgot my password for my Apple ID to a Mac at my office. I didn’t want to use my personal one I know I know. It was a stressful time my mom was in sick. So now I need to reset it in order to give to someone else in the office. I really don’t want to wait the ten days for password to reset it how do I get in it to do a factory reset.

Ask the Supervisor, if Applicable:

IF this is a company-owned device, then perhaps the supervisor (or tech specialist) if they have the password. If they own it, then they would need to fix it.
