Need to change email log in for device

trying to eliminate a log in address which cannot find password for. My Apple ID and password are changed and ok trying to eliminate login for device 2 ipad

If it is a sign in, is it an Apple ID? If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
