Volume - UP fully
Settings:
Sounds & Haptics/Sounds & Vibrations:
New mail - “signal”
Notifications:
Mail - “signal”
……yet I’m not getting any audible notification of new mail.
(Outgoing “whoosh” works fine as does incoming texts etc)
Anyone any idea why?
Go to Settings- Notifications— Mail —Allow Notifications should be toggled ON.
Below that Tap —customise Notifications —- Tap respective mail account name—Toggle ON alert and badges.

Did you try to use a different sound for incoming mail?
For example Sounds/New Mail/Classic/Ding?
Did you already try to force restart your iPhone?
Done that but no effect.
Didn’t make any difference
