My iPhone is in Password Disabled locked how can I get it to update/factory rest if it just tells me Error

I had forgot my password to unlock my phone am had accidentally put it in to “password disabled connect to ITunes” mode, I put it in recovery mode but when hook it up to ITunes, it won’t let me update/factory restore it, it only tells me “error” please help! What do I do?!

I want to take my old phone back to factory settings. I forgot my password and now it says “iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes”. I have it hooked up to my computer and have iTunes pulled up, but it won’t let me do anything I want to take my old phone back to factory settings. I forgot my password and it now says iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes. I have it plugged into my computer but it won’t let me do anything with iTunes or the phone
