itunes not reading phone

ive been trying since yesterday to connect my phone with my computer but it never worked ive tried looking at this:iOS device not showing in iTunes for Wind… - Apple Community

but i dont see the driver but i do see "apple phone" under portable devices

Windows, Windows 10

Right-click on the Apple iPhone that you see in that view and proceed to step 4 of that guide.
