Hi,
When i install latest version of iTunes (12.11.317) it won't find my phone.
My phone shows up in Windows and in the device manager, but not in iTunes.

But when i open folder %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support there's no folders named drivers. Did Apple forgot to distribute the drivers with latest version om AMDS?

i know the reason why the drivers are missing:
In the actual MSI file "AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi" from Version 12.11.3.17 (you have to extract the setup with e.g. 7-zip) there is a Condition "MobileDrivers" with "(BUSEROSVERSION AND (BUSEROSVERSION>=10)) AND (NOT INSTALL_DRIVERS) AND (NOT WIX_UPGRADE_DETECTED)".
Since Apple added this condition, the device drivers get not installed anymore.
Remove this Condition with a MSI tool like "InstEd" and it works again...
I hope Apple changes the MSI file in the next version of the software back to the old setting.
We found, that the driver has to come via Windows. We don't install drivers via WSUS, so the phones didn't get recognised correctly.
Maybe you should check, if your PC can get drivers via Windows Update.
This should be the right solution.
It this new from a version after 12.11.0.26?
Because when i install 12.11.0.26 version i get the drivers.
When i install 12.11.3.17 version i don't get any drivers.
In an enterprise environment you usally don't allow your clients do download drivers from windows update, you want to control that process. To allow enterpise computers to download drivers from windpws update is not a solution.
I will test your work around with modifying the MSI-tables when i get the time
Thanks for your reply. My problem is that the driver-folder does not excist - i can't browse any drivers, because AMDS won't install the drivers-folder in this version.
