Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me using words of one syllable for a pretty non-techy person! I have 4 email accounts on my Macbook Air and i-phone 11. All the inboxes show wrong numbers...and have done for months, despite my turning both devices off frequently. Annoyingly, there are different wrong numbers for the same account on the different devices. I've tried following earlier advice on this community, but it no longer corresponds to what displays on the devices. Please can anyone help me get rid of these numbers? Thank you.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

I understand you have 4 email accounts whose Inboxes are showing an incorrect number of "unread" messages, and it is incorrect on each of your devices.

Try "rebuilding" those Mailboxes according to Rebuild mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support. You can rebuild them one at a time, or all at once.
