AppleTV app on Samsung tv - flickering

I can’t stop my Apple TV app flickering constantly (like strobe lighting!) on my tv - any suggestions?!

Already tried reinstalling it on the TV which is a total reset and it made no difference. Not happy - paying for a service that is completely unusable. It could actually be dangerous for those with photo sensitive epilepsy, yet there doesn’t seem to be any real effort to fix despite many many people reporting this problem online!
