Purple tint on my iPhone camera

I purchased an iPhone 13 pro four months ago and it’s been working fine.

However, just yesterday I noticed that when I take pictures/ videos in a relatively darker environment, a purple tint comes over the screen and the macro lens is unable to focus. Every time I try to take a close up photo or video, the screen becomes purple and pixelated.

There’s also this weird purple tint around the border of the camera, which is usually black.

This has never happened before and I’m generally someone who is very careful with my device so I don’t know what went wrong?

Please help.

Is it a Software issue?

Update your iPhone.

If that didn’t help, then try a Hard Reset:

  1. Press volume up (quickly)
  2. Press volume down (quickly)
  3. Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo ( ) appears

If that didn’t work, it could be a hardware issue. ⚠️
