Screentime change passcode glitch?

Just updated to iOS 15.4.1 on my iPhone Xs and when I follow these directions, I enter my correct AppleID and password and then am brought back to the passcode screen with another “Failed attempt” added to the tally. No “enter new screentime passcode” screen appears.

If you are unable to reset Screen Time passcode from the this-> link then, you will need a computer. If you don't have one, borrow from a friend.

Forgot? Click below to reset…

Click->If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your ...

Regarding your data, If…

  1. You have an iCloud or iTunes backup, I am sorry there is no use of a backup because if you restore from your backup your Screen Time Passcode will be back.

There is no solution. It is a glitch. I got a newer iPhone and set it up from scratch. Luckily the data (contacts, photos, etc) is all still attached to my apple id so I didn’t lose anything. But not restoring from a back up meant I had to re download my apps manually. It is so nice not having a screentime limit for the first time in over four years… why I ever thought 10am - 10pm was a good idea…
