Apple tv 4k - colour calibration

I just purchased an Apple TV 4K as an upgrade to my old TV HD. It works but the colours are bleak in comparison to my okd Apple TV. I tried the calibration with my Iphone 11, with the latest IOS installed. The process starts but a quarter through the process a get an error message. Is it my Iphone or TV or HDMI cable? Please advise and note I have an older TV with HDMI 1.2 I believe.

The calibration is using your iPhone's camera to pass through data back to the Apple TV. If you are unable to complete that then it's best to speak with Apple support, have the error message handy.
