Apple TV 4k, Airplay, Apple Music

When doing system wide Airplay from Mac or iDevice to Apple TV 4k (Gen1 or Gen2), especially using Apple Music, will it pass as 48/24 to Apple TV for further output as 48/24 to a DAC via HDMI? Or will it be like this: 48/24 (AM) => 44.1/16 (Airplay) => 48/24 (ATV)? Will via Airplay streamed 44.1/16 always be upsampled to 48/24 as output from Apple TV via HDMI? Will an AM Atmos track streamed via Airplay to Apple TV 4k also be output via HDMI from Apple TV as Atmos? Will a track streamed in ALAC via Airplay remain ALAC when output from Apple TV via HDMI? Or will it be compressed to aac?

Airplay supports up to 16/44.1 You would need to play tracks directly to get 24/48 or Atmos.
