Dell UP2715K - Mac Studio M1

I have the exact same issue as this post here, same symptoms, except on a Mac Studio (M1 Max)

I couldn't get it to work however, I thought by now this would be supported natively in the OS

I cannot grasp how SwitchResX is supposed to help, because there is already a file here out of the box- /Library/Contents/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-90ac/DisplayProductID-40b6, and I can't find any option in SwitchResX to generate override files

i'm running a pair of USBC > Display Port cables instead of a TB>Dual Display Port if that makes any difference.

Problem solved: if that helps anyone else, turns out connecting two USBC > DP cables directly to the Mac Studio didn't work, however using a TB3 > Dual Display port adapter worked fine (I used the StarTech one - StarTech.com Thunderbolt 3 Dual DisplayPort DP 1.4 - Dual 4K 60Hz DP or Single 8K/5K - Mac/Windows (TB32DP14))
