iPad functionality

There is a black square with a white dot in the middle of it that is shown up on my iPad. I can move it around my iPad and it stays wherever I put it. It does not appear to do anything when I click on it or touch it. I can hold my finger on it and it doesn’t activate anything. I looked through the questions and found the “zoom off“ answer and tried that but my zoom is already off. Any suggestions? It is getting in the way of different things that I open and it’s very annoying!

Hello! It sounds like you enabled assistive touch! You can disable by navigating to Settings > Accessibility > Touch, then select AssistiveTouch to turn it off. See more information at this link: Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Hope this helps!
