Will older magic keyboards work with M1 Mac mini?

could you use it wired if Bluetooth has issues

what is the advantage of the latest magic keyboard over the magic keyboard 2?

The older keyboard uses replaceable batteries (no cable) and keyboard 2 is rechargeable and can be left connected with the cable to your Mac all the time. The latest keyboard (call it #3) has a touch ID key. All should work with the Mac Mini. I use design #2 with my Mini M1
