How do I connect multiple airplay speakers with my MacPro?!?

I have a new M1 MacBook Pro 16" and around my home I have Sonos airplay2 speakers. From my iPhone and Apple TV I can connect multiple speakers through airplay and adjust volumes separately, BUT from my Mac Pro I can only select one at a time from the control centre. Why is this? I can do it from inside my music desktop app but not from control centre which means I can't stream any other audio from safari, YouTube etc.

Is it possible to select multiple airplay devices from my MacPro?

I need to find a way around this somehow, it's very frustrating.

Hey Flattackfirefly,

These articles have more information about how you can use AirPlay on a Mac and AirPlay compatibility. Let's get a little more information to help narrow this down.

Are you trying to airplay a video in Safari to Airplay speakers?

AirPlay to multiple speakers works in other apps?

Thanks for the reply, I have looked at those links. I am aware that inside the music app and Apple TV app I can connect multiple airplay speakers but from my computers main controls I can only select one at a time. see highlighted area below. this stops me from using multiple speakers for YouTube Netflix and anything else on a browser. is there any way around this?

What's frustrating is that don't have this problem from my iPhone and my Apple TV as it only has the one place for sound outputs. I thought my Brand new MacBook Pro would have better functionality.

I have tried the multiple device option but this doesn't work either. Many other posts saying the same thing also
