Music Play count not updating in Itunes

I have been hit once again with my play count not updating in iTunes. Normally it takes the play of a song on the following day to update but that has not worked for past few days. I have tried shutting down iTunes, rebooting my PC (Windows not Mac) and tried update iCloud Music Library but nothing has worked. Anyone solved this issue??

SOLVED!!!!! - The issue was with my device which was not sending counts to Itunes. I therefore did the following:


  1. Restarted my device (iPhone 7)
  2. Opened iTunes on Windows PC
  3. Played a song to completion on device (iPhone 7)
  4. Checked iTunes and play count updated
