WhatsApp on iPhone 13 Pro - long press to use reply/forward etc. a message

I have noticed that out of no where the feature on WhatsApp where you long press on a message and it pops up the prompt with options to forward, reply, star, delete, reply in private, etc does not function. To fix this, I have to restart the phone everytime. This was not the case with my previous device, iPhone 11 pro.

Is anyone else facing this too?
