files not updating in Monterey finder

Hello, since I've moved to Monterey my finder is not updating. When I create a new file from an application, it doesn't show on the finder screen. I need to close that folder and reopen it in order to see the file. Is there a way to solve this?

And when I make the "easy fix" to throw the folder in the Spotlight privacy tab and remove it (forcing re-indexing) I can use finder search for 10-15 mins and then it's useless again. my downloads folder no longer shows I have Monterey. I can no longer see my downloads folder, in Finder or when in applications looking for a downloaded file to open. For example, I downloaded a .CSV file from my bank, and when I try to open it in Excel, there is no sign of a downloads folder. This worked fine until recently and I'm not aware of doing anything to make a change.

Finder actions relating to files stored on our Windows servers is excruciatingly slow I upgraded to Monterey 12.0.1 as soon as it became available. The biggest issue I'm having is that many Finder actions relating to files stored on our Windows servers is excruciatingly slow. In particular, renaming a file or folder takes a ridiculously long time to take effect. Sometimes the finder reports that the action couldn't be completed (even though it often did eventually succeed). I've never had this problem before with any other OS Update. This is a first for me.

Did you try shutting down and rebooting the machine...?
