can I transfer purchased iTunes music from one Apple ID to a new Apple ID

My Apple ID that I have had for years keeps getting hijacked/hacked over and over again and as a result my iPhone's and other devices seem to be compromised way to frequently. I decided to bite the bullet and just start over with a brand new Apple ID/Icloud email. I know I will lose all my purchases, but I was wondering if my purchased music on iTunes can be transferred from my old ID to my new one.
