Will charging my iPhone SE (2020 model) via USB 2.0 damage it?

My monitor has a built-in USB 2.0 port built in and apparently that only outputs 500 mA@5V, or 2.5W. I believe the wall charger that comes with the phone uses 5W. Aside from charging slower, will that lower wattage from USB 2.0 damage the phone in any way?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Should work. It will be painfully slow though. USB 2.0 doesn't necessarily imply any specific power though.

Also - if it's labelled as USB 2.0, that implies that there's data transfer and not just a "dumb" USB-A power outlet. If you're using it as a hub to computer, the highest USB 2.0 (aka "High Speed") data transmit speed is all that Lightning cables can handle anyways. Even the latest USB-C to Lightning cables can only transmit at that speed.
